If I had a Euro for every time someone asked me “Alastair, can you recommend me an English teacher”, well, I’d have lots of Euros.
Leonardo English doesn’t offer private English lessons, but the good news is that we have teamed up with a company that does.
It’s called EnglishScore, and it provides personal online English tutoring from the British Council.
EnglishScore is currently running a special offer where you can get a 30-minute private lesson with one of their 150+ high-quality English tutors for just €1.
Some websites require you to sign up for a contract or to buy a large package to get this sort of discount, but EnglishScore doesn’t. You sign up, pay €1, and have your lesson.
If you decide you want to have more lessons, you can do that, but there is no obligation to continue - you don’t even have to “cancel” anything.
I wanted to check it out before recommending it, so I went through the process myself. Here’s how easy it is:
Then, all you need to do is find a tutor that looks good to you and press “book”.
All sessions are private and personalised to you. And because all tutors are approved by the British Council, you know that they are high-quality.
Here are a few reviews I found that give you an idea about the experience that students are having
"Great tutors! Terrific lessons! Friendly platform!" - Adriano, 2021
"I've been using EnglishScore for nearly a year, and my learning journey is tremendous. Thanks to EnglishScore, I am given the chance to brush up on my English with very talented teachers. Also, I progressed a lot in many areas such as writing, reading and speaking.I can only recommend you subscribe and give it a try. This is so far the best technique I have ever used to learn English!" - Guillaume, 2021
So, whether you have a specific goal in mind - perhaps to improve your business English or to prepare for an exam like IELTS - or you just want to gain confidence, EnglishScore is an excellent option.
And for less than the cost of a cup of coffee, it’s certainly worth a try.
